Teen Summer Reading Program

Reading

Log your summer reading and activities in Beanstack between June 1 and July 31 to earn badges and prizes.  Visit fortlibrary.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack Tracker app.  Paper reading logs will be available upon request.  The library offers separate reading challenges for babies and toddlers, kids, teens, and adults.

6th-12th Grade Challenge: Earn prizes after logging three, six, and ten hours of reading.  Earn entries in our raffle drawings by logging extra hours of reading and completing activities.

Volunteering

Students entering 6th grade and older can volunteer as Summer Reading Program Helpers to encourage kids to read and to help kids collect their prizes.  Those who volunteer at least seven hours will be invited to a Summer Reading Program Helper pool party on Wednesday, August 7.

Anyone interested in being a Summer Reading Program Helper must attend one of the following orientation sessions at the library:

  • Wednesday, May 22 at 3:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 23 at 6 p.m.
