Fort Atkinson StoryWalk®

Ralph Park, Fort Atkinson, WI

Visit

Dwight Foster Public Library’s permanent StoryWalk® is located at Ralph Park in Fort Atkinson, beginning at the shelter next to Hake Street and ending at the playground. Stroll through the park and enjoy reading a new title each month in the spring, summer, and fall.

What Is a StoryWalk®

StoryWalks® are a way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Pages from a children’s book are attached to signposts installed along an outdoor path. Walk down the path to read the individual pages of the story. The goals of the Fort Atkinson StoryWalk® are to promote reading, share high quality children’s books, encourage physical activity, and offer a free activity for our community’s families.

Special Thanks

Thank you to Fort Atkinson Parks & Recreation and the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation for supporting the Fort Atkinson StoryWalk®. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Ann Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and is developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
