Wednesday, February 19 at 6 pm – National Vets Golden Age Games

Joe Naylor of the Education Dept. at the Wm. S. Middleton VA hospital in Madison will talk about this exciting opportunity for Veterans, ages 55 or older, who receive health care from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Friday, February 28 at 6 pm – Snapshots From Saturn

In this talk, “Snapshots from Saturn,” former Cassini ISS Calibration Engineer Ben Knowles will take you on a tour of Cassini’s greatest hits, from the mysterious rotating hexagon at Saturn’s north pole to the active water geysers erupting from the icy moon Enceladus, to the awe-inspiring beauty of Saturn’s elaborate ring system, finally seen up close for the first time. Bring your curiosity and your questions!

This program is sponsored by the U.S. Veterans Project – Library, a weekly gathering at the Dwight Foster Public Library. This group meets every Wednesday from 9 am to 1 pm in the Wisconsin Room at the Dwight Foster Public Library. It is open to all veterans, their family members and others who would like to learn more about military history and operations.
