Read Grateful: A Gratitude Reading Challenge
November 1-December 31
We have a new reading challenge for all ages this November and December. Slow down, take a deep breath, and take the Dwight Foster Public Library’s Read Grateful challenge. Read 10 books of your choice about gratitude, log your reading on our library’s Beanstack site, and earn a new set of colorful badges! If you already registered with Beanstack in the summer, you can log in to your existing account to begin the Read Grateful challenge. Need help finding books about gratitude? Start with the books on this list: Gratitude Books for Middle and High School
Teen Take and Make Kits (for grades 6-12)
We can’t offer in-person programs right now, but we can give you all the supplies you need to complete a project at home. For free! We will offer a new Take and Make kit each month.
- November: Sharpie Mugs
- December: TBD
- January: TBD
Our library will now circulate traveling journals. Traveling journals are filled with the thoughts and creative energy of our community. Choose one of our 24 journals (each with a different topic) to check out. See what other people have written or created and then add to the journal. You can write, draw, or collage on your journal entry. Finally, return the journal to the library so someone else can check it out. We plan to add these journals to our circulating collection after they are full. Use this link to see the available journal topics.
