The Youth Summer Reading Program begins on Friday, June 7 with our Family Fort Night kickoff. The program runs through Saturday, July 27.

  1. Reading records will be available by June 1. As soon as you have a reading record, you may begin tracking your reading activities.  The first day to receive a prize from the library is June 10.
  2. Keep track of your reading activities on your reading record.
  3. Visit the library between June 10 and July 27 to track your reading and collect rewards.
  4. After you are finished with all three game boards, ask for a “Read for a Reason” extra reading log from the library. Your extra reading will earn money for Fort Atkinson’s K9 Unit.  The more you read, the more money the library will donate at the end of the summer.
  5. Log all reading at the public library by July 27.
