Paper Models Workshop

Saturday, January 19 at 9-12 noon
Paper models are models created out of heavy paper or cardstock. Intricate model patterns are printed on paper, cut out, and then glued together to create model airplanes, cars, animals, and more.
In this workshop, local paper model enthusiast Don Holewinski will teach participants how to assemble their own models. Attendees will leave with a completed model and information about how to find more patterns. Recommended for ages 7 and up. Registration is required and space is limited.

Preschool Craft

Friday, March 22 at 10-11 a.m.
Little volunteers are needed to make Easter cards for seniors in our community. We will use glitter, stickers, markers and other decorations to make beautiful cards! Supplies will be provided.

Angry Birds Afternoon

Wednesday, April 3 at 3-5 p.m.
Spring break special! Build and knock down miniature levels. Also, try your hand at crafting your own angry birds and bad green pigs.

Fairytale Trial: State v. Jack Robinson

Tuesday, April 16 at 9-11 a.m.
Homeschool special! Come watch our fairytale trial readers' theater performance and learn about the criminal justice system, with Jefferson County public defender Jeffrey De La Rosa as a special guest! Jack Robinson has been charged with second degree intentional homicide in the death of Clarence Ogre. Our trial will decide whether jack Robinson deliberately caused the death of Mr. Ogre or if it was merely self-defense. Everyone in the audience will act as a member of the jury and determine Jack's fate. Stick around after the trial for a question and answer session with Attorney De La Rosa.

Family Game Night

Wednesday, May 1 at 6-8 p.m.
Honor Screen Free Week by playing family board games at the library. Co-sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Fort Atkinson.

Mother's Day Craft

Saturday, May 11 at 10-12 noon
Drop-in and create a gift to take home for mom or someone special.

Youth Clubs and Ongoing Programs

Lego Club

January 10, February 14, March 14, April 11, and May 9; 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Join forces with other Lego lovers and build a Lego creation according to a monthly theme. The library will provide Legos, though Lego donations are welcome! Recommended for grades K-5.

R.E.A.D. Dogs

January 12, February 9, March 9; 10 - 12 noon
Children have the opportunity to read to a patient and loving dog at the library. All dogs and owners have gone through a rigorous training program and are certified as therapy dogs and owners. Program sponsored by the Fort Atkinson Kennel Club. Registration is required.

Club Pokemon

February 16, March 2, March 16, March 30, April 13, April 27, May 25; 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
New! Join us at the library every other Saturday to play the Pokemon trading card game. Bring your Pokemon cards to battle other fans! All ages are welcome and we will teach new trainers how to play the card game. Co-sponsored by Planet Chaos Comics, Cards, & Collectables.
