4K Art Gala and Art Display

 

4K Art Gala: Tuesday, January 30 from 5-6:30 p.m.
4K Art Display: January 29-February 29, 2024

Visit the library between January 29 and February 29 to see original artwork created by Four-Year-Old Kindergarten (4K) students from the School District of Fort Atkinson’s 4K program.  Artwork was inspired by author and illustrator Lois Ehlert.

Smokey Bear Reading Challenge

March 1-November 28

Help Smokey celebrate his 80th birthday by learning how to prevent wildfires and help the environment! Read 3 books on wildfire prevention or the environment and earn activity badges to complete the challenge and earn a completion certificate and a free book.  Visit fortlibrary.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack Tracker app to join the challenge.

Parenting Play Group

March 12, April 9, and May 14
2-3 p.m.

The Parenting Play Group is a shared time for parents and their children, ages zero to five years of age, to engage in social connections through open-ended playtime, specific developmental activities, and interactions with other families. This group is led by registered nurses with the Jefferson County Health Department, specializing in Breastfeeding Support, Care Seat Safety, Social Connectedness, and Developmental Stages.

Lego Club

February 19, March 18, April 15, and May 20
3:30-4:30 p.m.

Join other Lego enthusiasts and build a Lego creation according to a monthly theme.

Lunch Bunch for Homeschoolers

February 21, March 20, April 17 (at the Municipal Building), and May 15 (with Officer Lawrence and K-9 Smitty)
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Bring your lunch to the library and meet other homeschooling families. Library staff will share library resources and offer time to chat and socialize.

Play Pokemon!

February 26, March 25, and April 22
4-5 p.m.

Come play the Pokemon Trading Card Game with other Pokemon trainers! You can bring your own cards or borrow a deck from the library to learn how to play. Recommended for kids ages 7-12.
